They meet again in New York. After losing at Nationals Jesse leaves everything behind and goes there. He says nothing to Rachel because he wants her to focus on her career (and of course he knows she’s there. He just knows). They run into each other a morning Rachel’s on her way to NYADA and her favorite cafe is closed. She goes to another one and she’s surprised to see him working there. She gets in the line thinking how on Earth has Jesse gotten to New York and why hasn’t he told her anything? When it’s her turn, he just says “hi Rachel, how are you?”. They chat for as long as it takes Jesse to make her coffee and then Rachel says goodbye politely and leaves.

She goes there the next day.
