my spec about the wedding ring storyline

so, patty duke asks blaine if kurt is his soulmate. and he says yes and that he wants to be with him all his life and that why he’s gonna ask him to marry him.

my brain tells me that patty duke’s gonna tell blaine that she and her girlfriend have been together all their lives, are soulmates, totally in love and they’re not even engaged.

then they go on that double date to breadsticks. and we had a still where it seems they’re sharing an intimate moment and everyone is cheering for them (this one), so maybe they get engaged then?? and this is the ~beautiful event~ kurt and blaine witness (isn’t this a spoiler that was going around??) that makes them think about their relationship and make a step.

but what i don’t get is blaine calling kurt “his boyfriend” and them going on a double date without them being a couple. i’d like to think that they already got together before everything happens but lol this isn’t gonna happen so idk idk

i just want them to get back together man

Summary: After Kurt transfers back to McKinley, he has to catch up with all his classes. And this means seeing Blaine a lot more less… Or not.

They knew that after Kurt’s transfer back to McKinley they wouldn’t spend together half the time as they used to. It was one of the reasons that were in the “cons” column in Kurt’s “pros and cons of going back to McKinley” list: 1. less time with Blaine :(

Kurt had to admit that the list had more cons than pros, but he transferred anyway. Even Blaine had encouraged him. “It’s what you want, Kurt.” So he did. And yes, he knew that he would have to catch up with everything: glee rehearsals, gossip, classes  (4. Catching up w/ everything!!); but it would be worth it. So he found himself in his room, two weeks after having transferred, with a pile of books to read, lots of  homework to do and lots of tests to study for. He hadn’t seen Blaine since Saturday. They had spent the day together, going to the mall in the morning and to the cinema on the afternoon, and then they had dinner at Breadstix and went over Blaine’s house to watch a movie and make out a little. He missed him. Like crazy. Who knew you could miss someone this much?

He wakes up at 6:30, showers, has breakfast while his face absorbs the skincare product he has applied (he’s way too young for botox), gets dressed (he doesn’t need to pick an outfit because on Sunday nights he plans all the outfits he’ll need for the following week), styles his hair (after five years of practicing, he almost has it done in 5 minutes) and at 7:30 he leaves the apartment he shares with Rachel in Brooklyn.

Summary: Blaine comes home to an unusual scene.

The moment Blaine opened the door he knew something was going on. The apartment was quiet, too quiet for a Tuesday at 6 pm, and the door to the living room, unusually closed, had a piece of pink fabric tied at the doorknob.

He took off his coat and scarf and hanged them and went into the living room, trying to be as quiet as possible. His heart started racing when he saw nobody there and how all the pillows and his son’s toys were scattered all around the floor. The couch and the seats had been moved into a square distribution, and in the center of them there was a toy house that belonged to Hugo, which he hardly never used anymore because he was “a grown up now, dad!”.

He was still trying to cope with the situation when suddenly a voice came from the couch.

“Dad! You’re home!”
